Snipes is back in the role of Blade, and this time he is not fighting against the Vampires, this time he is fighting with them! The Vampires have a new enemy, a powerful one which feeds on them as a source of life, much as the Vampires have to their victims for centuries. Deciding their only hope to overcome this new found foe is to recruit Blade, the Vampires train an elite crew to infiltrate his basecamp.
Blade has been looking for his old friend Whistler (Kriss Kristofferson) for 2 years, the Vampires use this as a way to locate his camp.
This new enemy turns the vampires rather than killing them, and much like a drug addict craves its next fix, these crave blood and feed almost continuously. In a week there are dozens, in a month thousands!
Blade is shown all the new security measures the Vampires have introduced to try and shield them from the one who now protects them! They soon realise that this new enemy is not easy to kill, and also possesses amazing strength with the ability to regenerate at an alarming rate.
Nomak is the leader of the reapers, and he holds a dark secret, a secret Blade must discover if he is to establish the true identity of this new race.

Conclusion
I love the Blade movies, I think they are well written, fun films with some excellent acting and some nicely choreographed fight sequences. I prefer the sequel as it feels far more polished and the visual effects are of a much higher standard.
The story line is a good follow on from the first movie, with some nice twists throughout, Danny John Jules pops up in the movie in the role of an elite trained Vampire whose initial purpose was to kill Blade, I have always liked D.J Jules ever since seeing him in the early days of Red Dwarf.
All in all the film is superb and I can strongly recommend it to anyone who liked the first film.
I am getting a new 37" LCD TV later this week and cannot wait to see the Blade trilogy on it!
